STEFAN SITTIG was born in Washington, D.C., is half-Uruguayan and was raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His choreography has been seen Off-Broadway, internationally and at several regional theatres in Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Recent D.C. area productions that he has choreographed include Noël & Gertie (MetroStage) , Polaroid Stories (The Studio Theatre Secondstage) and Jesus Christ Superstar (Open Circle Theatre). Mostly a musical theatre choreographer, Stefan is delighted to have opportunities to create non-musical theatre choreography. He has trained with Sharon Kinney (original member of the first Paul Taylor Dance Company), Colleen Kelly, Melanie Richards, Judith Steel, Audrey Jung, Jack Donahue, Maria Watson and Doug Yeuell. Before turning his attention to choreography Stefan performed for several regional theatres including: The Kennedy Center, Signature Theatre, Olney Theatre, Studio Theatre, Theatre Virginia, Theatre IV, The Barksdale Theatre and Heritage Repertory Theatre. Stefan holds a Master's in Fine Arts in Theatre and is on the faculty at The National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Georgetown.
